Promote Egypt As A Tourist Spot, Airline Tells Agents

Amr Basha, who is in charge of EgyptAir’s operations in Nigeria, has asked Nigerian travel agents to help encourage tourists to visit Egypt, which is a great place for sightseeing and vacationing.

Basha made this request during an event where EgyptAir connected with local travel agents to discuss ways to promote tourism. He mentioned that the airline offers various travel packages that are priced to suit the budgets of different types of travelers. Whether someone is looking for a fun vacation, medical treatment, or a historical exploration, EgyptAir has options for everyone.

He stated, “As travel agents, we need your help in showcasing Egypt as a fantastic travel destination. It has a little bit of everything: beautiful beaches, opportunities for medical tourism, historical landmarks like the famous pyramids, and rich art and culture.” He also highlighted that EgyptAir, working with a local travel partner called Elite Tours, is introducing a range of tour packages designed to meet the needs of various customers.

Additionally, Faith Obazee, the airline’s Sales Executive, shared important information about EgyptAir’s fleet, services, and new flight routes. She also informed travel agents about the benefits available to frequent flyers, special cooperative agreements with other airlines, and how these partnerships can enhance travel options for customers.

Mohammed Afifi, the Station Manager, also addressed a crucial health requirement: travelers going to Egypt or those who have layovers in Egypt lasting 12 hours or more must show proof of a Yellow Fever vaccination. He emphasized the airline’s commitment to passenger safety and health guidelines.

He also pointed out exciting activities available for tourists like boat cruises and quad biking adventures.

Lastly, EgyptAir recognized and rewarded some travel agents for their exceptional performance in promoting the airline in 2023/2024, highlighting the importance of their efforts in boosting tourism.
